BLENHEIM HOMES HONORED
WITH SEVEN REGAL AWARDS
Bay Pointe named Community of the Year

Blenheim Homes repeated history at the 12th annual Regal Awards ceremony on March 11. For the seventh time, the local builder was honored with the Home Builders Association of Delaware’s most coveted award: Community of the Year. This time, the award was for Bay Pointe, Blenheim Homes’ upscale community near Middletown.

The Sales and Marketing Council of the HBA/DE conferred the prestigious Regal Awards at a dinner ceremony held at the Bank One Center in downtown Wilmington. Recipients were homebuilders and associates who had achieved excellence in the new-home sales industry for product and sales during the 2003 calendar year. The Regals are awarded in a variety of categories and price ranges for new homes, styles and communities.

In addition to winning Community of the Year, Blenheim Homes garnered six additional awards. Their Cambridge model at Bay Pointe was named Best Single-Family Home (3,000-3,500 sq. ft, average base price over $350,000), and before the evening was over, Bay Pointe's list of awards included Best Interior Merchandising (Detached Home $300,000 and over), Best Community Brochure, Best Sales Office and Best Interior Merchandising for the community's Cambridge and Yorkshire models.

Bay Pointe is Blenheim Homes' premier community, with distinctive features that include exceptionally large home sites and close to 100 acres of open space. Many of the 167 homes will be located on eight cul-de-sacs, with nearly half backing up to open space. Because of rising land prices and the ever-increasing demand for new-construction housing, Bay Pointe is probably the last estate community to be built north of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. It is currently more than half sold.

Blenheim Homes has been a local leader in the residential construction for 20 years. Regal Awards have figured prominently in the history of the company since the awards were first introduced by HBA/DE in 1992.

“Winning so many honors over the years has been a real source of pride, but ultimately it’s not as important as establishing a bond of trust with our customers,” says Jay Sonecha, president of Blenheim Homes. “Our real goal is to generate customer satisfaction that lasts long after a house has gone to settlement.”
